Leisurely stroll along a picturesque boardwalk trail. The state park is home to several boardwalk trails, with the Parker Dam Boardwalk Trail earning a nod as the shortest and sweetest.
Rated easy for hikers of all ages and experience levels, the pretty path tallies just one mile. Most finish it within half an hour or so.
However, you might also want to take your time as you wander along the boardwalk trail that passes through the forest and past a lake.
The entire path does not follow the boardwalk. However, the rest of the trail is partially paved.
Bring along your camera because you'll also pass the dam, which is especially beautiful with the water glistening in the sun.
Since the trail is short, you might want to explore some of the other paths. Beaver Dam is less than half a mile, and you might get to see some of the park's resident beavers.
