Pennsylvania’s known for its unique dining experiences, but you won’t find one quite as distinctive as Double Knot in Philadelphia, a Japanese restaurant with a whole lot of personality.
Double Knot sprawls out over two floors with each floor offering a one-of-kind ambiance. Upstairs is a cocktail bar, but go underground to the sushi bar and izakaya.
Partially illuminated by candlelight and oozing a moody atmosphere, the downstairs sushi bar will likely leave you awe-struck. Then when you see the menu? Well, you’re in for a culinary experience you won’t soon forget.
Sip a cold cocktail as you browse the menu that features meat, fish, and Robatayaki. For a delightfully delicious meal, try the veggie, meat, pork, chicken, or seafood Robatayaki.
First, however, kick off your meal with such classics as the cucumber salad, tuna rice cracker, or hearts of palm salad.
If you’re not too hungry, you have plenty of small plates from which to choose – from beef dumplings and wild mushroom gyoza to spicy baked scallops and crab and edamame.
Now, if you’re really hungry, go for the Chef’s Choice, which allows you to sample a little bit of everything – 10 different selections and two Robatayaki.
