Nestled in Hotel Anthracite in Carbondale, Kol Steakhouse bills itself as fine dining with a casual feel and a selection of both “traditional and creative dishes.”
The delightful dilemma of what to order begins with the appetizers, of which you have several choices – General Tso’s cauliflower bites and shrimp cakes, for example.
For a classic start to your meal, order the Caesar salad. If you prefer a more creative choice, try the Autumn Harvest Salad. It comes with such tasty toppings as roasted sweet potatoes, pears, and walnuts.
Steak, of course, plays a prominent role on the menu with filet mignon, Delmonico, and New York strip as your three choices. The fun comes when you pick the sauce for your steak.
House made steak sauce, roasted garlic and bacon butter, and Dijon rosemary cream sauce are just a few of your choices. You can also add such tasty toppings as brie cheese and sautéed mushrooms.
The Chef’s Plates – the short rib Ragu gnocchi and pan-seared herb chicken – might make that decision of what to order even more difficult. Chef’s Plates feature such scrumptious sides as sweet potato fries and sautéed garlic asparagus.
Live entertainment is also regularly scheduled at the bar, making Kol Steakhouse an ideal destination if you’re hungry for both good food and entertainment.
