Chasing waterfalls is the perfect way to spend an hour or two or even an entire day, and you definitely want to make it a point to visit Hackers Falls in Delaware Gap National Recreation Area in Bushkill.
Park in the lot for Raymondskill Falls; right across the road, you'll find the Hackers Falls trailhead.
Be prepared for somewhat of a challenge when you set off on the moderately-rated Hackers Falls and Cliff Loop Trail, which features some elevation changes.
This is one trail that promises so many picture-perfect moments that you don't want to forget your camera or smartphone. The loop trail clocks in at 3.7 miles.
Bring your pup along if you want, and expect to see a lot of people, especially in the warmer months, on this popular path.
Keep an eye out for local wildlife along the path, including salamanders. Black bears have also been spotted in the area.
The highlight of the trail is, without a doubt, Hackers Falls.
It's become a popular swimming hole in the summer. However, Pennsylvania does not allow swimming, wading, or climbing within 50 feet of the waterfall due to its inherent dangers.
While the waterfall is a must-visit, wait until you see the absolutely glorious views of the Delaware River Valley.
