Pssst…do you want to know a secret? Well, first you should probably ask yourself just how much you love cookies. Can you eat cookies any time of the day or the night? Do you have mad cookie cravings? If you answered yes, you’ll definitely want to know this really, really delicious secret. Ready? There’s a cookie speakeasy in Pennsylvania.
Yep, you read right. Pennsylvania – East Passyunk in Philadelphia, to be exact – is home to a top-secret cookie speakeasy that will give you the sugar rush of a lifetime.
However, before you can even get into the super-secret Cookie Lab, the brainchild of the hugely popular Insomnia Cookies, you’ll need to access the password that will allow you in.
Don’t worry. Getting the password is as easy as looking under the Secret PW or the Stories tab on Insomnia Cookies' Instagram page.
You can order your cookies from the window in the alley at Insomnia Cookies, but do you really want to miss the opportunity to experience the Cookie Lab? Hint: The door to the lab is actually a bookcase.
Once you’re inside the Cookie Lab, you have three delightfully delicious experiences, more commonly known as Cookievations, from which to choose. The first gives you the opportunity to try one of the Cookie Lab’s “specially curated creations.”
Those creations include such mouthwatering cookies as the PB pretzel, the cereal bowl, blueberry pancake, and Oreo red velvet cheesecake. If you think the specialty creations sound good, wait until you see them.
Cookievation #2 allows you to bake your own dough. Choose all of your favorite ingredients – the type of dough like classic or double chocolate, mix-ins (from Oreos to sprinkles), and toppings.
You can also customize a classic Insomnia cookie. Transform, for example, a chocolate chunk cookie into something out of this world by adding your favorite toppings – gummy bears, cinnamon chips, and dried blueberries, perhaps?
Think it can’t get any better? Oh, but it does. The Cookie Lab also features a milkshake bar.
Start planning your trip to the top-secret Cookie Lab. You can also stop by Facebook for more information on Insomnia Cookies.
