Take A Behind The Scenes Tour And Meet A Variety Of Exotic Animals Up-Close At Pennsylvania’s ZooAmerica
A trip to the zoo is often a magical experience for kids, especially having the opportunity to see their favorite wild animals up close. As much fun as it is to stroll through the zoo and to snap photos of the animals, do you ever wish you could get just a little bit closer? Well, now you can. Pennsylvania’s ZooAmerica offers behind the scenes tours where you can feed some of the animals and even pet a few.
Hershey’s ZooAmerica is the place to be if you’re on the lookout for an unforgettable, behind the scenes adventure that will get you up close and personal with the animals.
Join other visitors on the After Hours Tour, held on Wednesdays and Saturdays after the zoo closes. Light your way with a flashlight (provided to you), and follow some of the zoo’s naturalists as you…
Get an up-close look at the zoo’s Animal Health Center and stroll through the different animal buildings. You’ll also have the unique opportunity to feed several animals, including the otters and the bears.
The Early Bird Tour is nearly identical to the After Hours Tour, except you’ll explore the zoo in the early morning. You’ll get to feed several animals, hold a bird of prey, and touch a reptile on your zoo adventure.
Behind the scenes tours cost $54 per person, as of December 2019, which includes admission to the zoo for the day. You must register and pay for your tour at least 72 hours prior to your tour date.
Have you ever been on one of the behind the scenes tours at Pennsylvania’s ZooAmerica? Share your experience in the comments! If you’re a big fan of those adorable, waddling penguins, you can meet them up close at the Lehigh Valley Zoo.
