While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. Stretched across 70 acres in Long Pond in the Pocono Mountains, Alvin’s Offroad Playground offers a one-hour ATV tour that’s perfect for the whole family.
Two people maximum (a driver and a passenger) can fit on the rental ATV. Tours are based on the skill level of all participants, with each tour starting slowly to ensure all drivers can drive the ATV in a straight line.
While ATV riding does come with some risks, you’re in for a one-of-a-kind experience. However, you will have to follow a few rules to help ensure your safety and the safety of others.
For example, you must show up for your tour at least half an hour prior to its start time to get your helmet and sign the waiver. Failure to do so means you will lose your deposit and your spot on the tour.
The dress code requires all drivers and passengers to wear close-toed shoes and long pants. You might want to bundle up, including gloves, if your tour is during the winter months.
