What are some must-visit museums in Pennsylvania?

The Carnegie Museums in Pittsburgh definitely tops the list. This world-renowned attraction is actually four museums in one: the Carnegie Museum of Art, which was one of the first museums of modern art in the country; the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, which has one of the most impressive collections of dinosaur skeletons in the world; the Andy Warhol Museum, and the Carnegie Science Center, which is the most0visited museum in Pittsburgh. You can find information on all four museums on the official website of the Carnegie Museums. And now for some Philadelphia gems: the eponymous Philadelphia Art Museum is among the largest and most impressive art museums in the country, and it is well worth the visit from anywhere in the state. If you aren’t much of an art enthusiast, there are other options. Check out the Franklin Institute, which is a huge science center, the Mutter Museum, which houses a plethora of medical oddities and preserved body parts, or the Please Touch Museum, a children’s museum that invites you to fondle an array of various objects. Check out the official website of The Philadelphia Museum of Art.

What are some family-friendly day trips in Pennsylvania?

Who’s ready for some family-friendly fun? Pennsylvania is bursting with fun things for the whole family to do – whether you love attending sporting events or going for long hikes in a sprawling state park. Some of our favorite family-friendly destinations include the Crayola Experience in Easton, Knoebels Amusement Park in Elysburg, Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, and Challenge Family Fun Center in Hummelstown.

Does Pennsylvania have any budget-friendly options for family fun?

Pennsylvania has so much to offer in terms of family fun, and you’ll be delighted to learn that many of the state’s best attractions are free, too! We recommend starting with one of Pennsylvania’s 121 state parks, all of which are free to visit — if you decide to visit them all, that will take you quite a while! This covered bridge road trip is loads of fun for any kids who like cars, and trucks, and things that go. While you’re on the road, check out the Giant Coffee Pot in Bedford, one of the state’s most infamous roadside attractions!
