Here in Oregon, we're all about nature, and this is evident everywhere you turn. From the world's smallest park to our many arboretums and oases, Mother Nature is celebrated here in The Beaver State. So of course, when it comes to children's playgrounds, you can bet they're nature-inspired, too! Spring Garden Park is a nature-themed playground and splash pad in Portland, Oregon, that celebrates the beauty of the natural world ... and is just plain fun to visit as well!
Located in Portland, Spring Garden Park is a 4.5-acre nature oasis just for kids.
Built on a previously undeveloped hillside, Spring Garden opened in 2018.
It's truly unlike any other park in the area.
Designed to foster free, imagination-based play, Spring Garden is a playground with classic and modern elements, an interactive splash pad, and a nature-themed, magical woodland wonderland. It's incredible!
The playground meets all current ADA requirements, too, so all kids can come and experience the magic of Spring Garden Park.
There are tree logs and giant stumps for nature-based play.
In keeping with the nature theme, a larger-than-life bird's nest — “The Nest” by Hannes Wingate — sits atop a hill, beckoning kids to come and let their imaginations run wild.
The views from this winsome structure are quite beautiful, too!
(Of course, the views in this entire park are stunning...)
When temps heat up, kids can cool off in the park's nature-themed splash pad. The fountains are turned on in mid-May.
Boulders, rocks, streams, and fountains all prove irresistible for little adventurers.
With places like Spring Garden Park, it's pretty great to be a kid in Oregon!
