The One Town In Oklahoma Everyone Must Visit Before Summer’s Over
Broken Bow in Oklahoma is a beautiful town with scenic mountains, great weather, and abundant outdoor activities.
If I had to recommend one town to visit this summer in Oklahoma, hands down it would be Broken Bow. It's located in southern Oklahoma in the middle of scenic mountains, it has great weather, and it's loaded with outdoor recreation. Honestly, I think it's the most beautiful place in the state and everyone should experience its beauty.
Broken Bow and the nearby town of Hochatown are nestled in southeast Oklahoma near the foothills of the Kiamichi Mountains – a sub-range of the breathtaking Ouachita Mountains. The two towns are so close to each other, it's hard to tell when you leave one and enter the other.
Broken Bow is a gateway city to Beavers Bend Resort Park and Hochatown State Park. The town lies within McCurtain County and has a population of just over 4,000 residents.
As a popular tourist destination in the Sooner State, it's filled with a variety of outdoor activities, lakes, and rivers.
It's the kind of place where you can come and stay busy the whole time or do as little as possible relaxing in one of its many serene environments.
You can find spots like this all over the state parks...and they are completely magical.
And you can't go a day without seeing some form of wildlife.
Including the kind you would rather not see up close and personal.
The weather in Broken Bow is usually cooler than other parts of Oklahoma, so it's the perfect place to pitch a tent in the summer.
Plus, the town is filled with great restaurants and shopping destinations.
One of the best parts about this place is the pristine water everywhere you go. You can even see your toes when swimming!
Come enjoy this little slice of heaven and see what all the fuss is about.
Doesn't this place look magical? And the best part is, the weather is so nice there!
While visiting Broken Bow/Hochatown, make sure to visit this restaurant that has one of the best patios in the state.
