For over a year, I drove past Smokies BBQ in Broken Arrow until one day I decided to pull in and order some food to go. I was blown away how delicious the food was and when I Googled them, I found out I wasn't alone in my opinion. This bbq joint has hundreds and hundreds of five-star reviews, making it one of the highest-rated bbq restaurants in the state.
Smokies is family-owned bbq joint located in Eastern Broken Arrow off Kenosha Street. When you drive by you'll either see a full parking lot or the smoke coming out of the building getting ready for the crowd at chow time.
If the doors are open, there's a full house. It's such a cozy place inside, full of happy and satisfied customers.
Start your meal off with one of their tasty appetizers, like these Firecrackers.
Or, order a big basket of Loaded Cheese Fries with smoked bacon and brisket.
They have a great outdoor patio space where you'll often find live music.
One of the secrets to their delicious tasting meat is the old smoker that's been in the family since 1979.
The hickory-smoked flavor makes everything taste so good. You can order your meat plain or make it a sandwich and pick your sides.
You'll definitely want to try the smoked ham and cheese sandwich that comes with a variety of cheese to choose from.
Just make sure to save room for the creme pies that are heavenly. For only $3.25 a slice, it won't break the bank (but maybe the belt).
