Oklahoma is home to many mom and pop restaurants all across the state that serve delicious cuisine and pastries. One of my favorites is The Silver Spoon Kitchen & Bakeshop in Lawton. It’s a two-story establishment with a cozy bar upstairs perfect for ending the day with a drink and appetizers.

The Silver Spoon opened in 2011 at the corner of 6th and C Avenue in the old Johnson’s Creamery in Lawton. If you're tired of visiting the big chain restaurants, we highly recommend this locally owned dining spot.

One unique place to visit in the Sooner State is The Holy City of The Wichitas located just outside of Lawton. It began in 1926 as an Easter Passion Play and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
