The Two-Story Kitchen And Bakeshop Every Oklahoman Will Love

Oklahoma features unique local dining spots like The Silver Spoon Kitchen & Bakeshop and historic sites such as The Holy City of The Wichitas.

Oklahoma is home to many mom and pop restaurants all across the state that serve delicious cuisine and pastries. One of my favorites is The Silver Spoon Kitchen & Bakeshop in Lawton. It's a two-story establishment with a cozy bar upstairs perfect for ending the day with a drink and appetizers.

The Silver Spoon opened in 2011 at the corner of 6th and C Avenue in the old Johnson’s Creamery in Lawton. If you're tired of visiting the big chain restaurants, we highly recommend this locally owned dining spot.

Step inside and you'll see a wide open space with a dining room and bake shop on the first floor and bar on the second level.

The exposed brick makes the interior feel just like home and it's a great spot in town to enjoy amazing food and service.

On the walls you'll find beautiful local art and wall hangings.

They are known for their soups, sandwiches, and salads. Check out this 16 oz. ground ribeye burger with double patties, double cheese, and steak fries. It's a big meal for big appetite!

The dinner menu features several cuts of steaks and a bone-in pork chop topped with an apricot ginger glaze.

The 18 oz. bone-in rib-eye with jumbo shrimp is one of my favorites. It comes served with asparagus and fried potatoes.

They also offer signature desserts, all of which are made fresh daily and will make your tummy smile.

On select nights the upstairs bar features live music, signature cocktails, and an inviting atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a long day at work.

One unique place to visit in the Sooner State is The Holy City of The Wichitas located just outside of Lawton. It began in 1926 as an Easter Passion Play and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. On the grounds of this extraordinary place, you’ll find a little church that is an absolute work of art. Click here to read more about it.
