The 2021 Poteau Balloon Fest will take place at the LeFlore County Fairgrounds in Poteau, Oklahoma, on Oct. 15-16, 2021.
This two-day festival features many other events besides just hot air balloons. There is also a huge carnival with rides, games, food, and lots of fun.
Many festival-goers love taking a tethered balloon ride. It's a great and safe way to see what it feels like being in a hot air balloon basket. Tickets must be purchased on top of general gate admission.
Monster trucks and Rumble on the River Motorsports have several show appearances during the weekend. Be sure to check the schedule on the website link at the bottom of the article if you want to catch their show.
You can also take a helicopter ride around the area, and it's a great way to get an aerial show of the festival and balloons.
There is also a Little Miss and Mr. Balloon Fest contest and it's the cutest thing ever. The contest takes place on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. if you want to see some adorable faces.
General admission to this fall festival is $5 for ages 4 and over. Balloon flights will most likely occur between the hours of 7-10 a.m. and 4-7 p.m. However, they are not guaranteed during these times... rides are based on the wind and the weather.
