There’s Nothing More Beautiful Than Oklahoma’s Annual Azalea Festival

Springtime is on its way and we couldn’t be more excited. Soon, Oklahoma’s gorgeous landscape will be covered with wildflowers and other beautiful blooms. If you are counting down the days ’til warmer weather, you’ll want to mark your calendar for the annual Azalea Festival in Muskogee’s Honor Heights Park which boasts 40 acres of manicured gardens with over 30,000 azaleas. This beautiful festival runs for the entire month of April and is often considered one of the top spring events in the nation. Muskogee’s Azalea Festival attracts visitors from around the world, so be sure to mark your calendars to attend.

One of the best ways to see (and smell) the azaleas and other blooms is to walk through the park. The festival is free to attend and runs the whole month of April.

This beautiful fountain in the middle of a pond pops with bright colors on all sides. There are over 625 varieties of azaleas.

The gardens house azaleas, dogwoods, redbuds, and a variety of other blooming plants.

Everywhere you go, you'll be surrounded by beauty and it's quite magnificent. It's the perfect place to enjoy the spring weather and beauty. People travel from all over the world to see this magnificent place, so don't miss the opportunity to check it out this year.

Inside the park there is also a playground to keep the young kids entertained, so bring the whole family along.
