Lavender Valley Acres is one of those places you don't expect to discover in Oklahoma. Lavender isn't a plant known to flourish in Oklahoma...that is until Lavender Valley discovered ways to grow lavender in Oklahoma's climate and topography.
The founders of Lavender Valley Acres first began experimenting with different types of lavender in 2003. Their first official harvest came just two years later in 2005.
It is the only farm in Oklahoma growing over 10 different varieties of lavender. The farm continues to grow and now has over 2,000 lavender plants growing on its land.
Visitors can explore the lavender gardens and learn all about the plant and its uses. You can touch, feel and smell all the different lavender.
If you fall in love, you might want to order a live lavender plant to take home with you. If you're reading from afar, you'll be relieved to know that they ship live lavender plants!
The smell that surrounds the farm is heavenly and creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
This award-winning lavender farm will open for the spring season in late March or early April. Put it on the calendar because it is an experience you don't want to miss.
