What is living in Oklahoma like?

Oklahoma is a place for those who enjoy peace, quiet and beautiful places. Oklahoma is the essential all-American kind of state, and living here is wonderful. Sure, there are minor risks of living here, like blizzards and severe weather (including tornadoes) – but the odds are usually in your favor that you’ll likely live here for decades without incident. Some folks live here their whole lives and never experience a tornado even once! Folks here are helpful and friendly, often happy to help a stranger in need. They make wonderful friends and neighbors, and no matter where in Oklahoma you decide to settle, you’re sure to be home. We here in the Sooner State take our Sooners (the OU football team) very seriously, and we love a good, strong season where our guys dominate everyone else. We’re big fans of family and tradition, and during the holidays, the state takes on a special magic. In fact, every season in Oklahoma is magic in some way, and the natural beauty here is second to none. Feel the need to explore more of the Sooner State?
