There’s Nothing Better Than A Day Trip To Oklahoma’s Most Underrated Lake

Are you ready for some weekend fun? How about a day trip to a beautiful lake? Take a look at Broken Bow Lake…

Broken Bow Lake is nestled in the Ouachita mountains, near the borders of Texas and Arkansas.

The lake has 180 miles of shoreline. It covers 14,220 acres, so there's plenty to explore here.

The natural beauty is breathtaking. Pine forest surrounds you, and if you listen quietly, you'll hear the songs of the birds and the wind gently whispering through the branches.

Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the spectacular scenery of this gorgeous place.

Go for a walk along the shore. On a lake this size, it's easy to find some solitude.

Explore the lake closer-up on a Duck Boat tour.

Kayaking is another way to spend the afternoon.

Fishing is popular on Broken Bow Lake. Expect to find largemouth and smallmouth, spotted and white bass, crappie, walleye and sunfish.

Watch for wildlife! You're likely to see deer all over the place.

At the end of the day, you might not want to leave. Stay at Lakeview Lodge.
