Strawberry Picking

Where can I go berry picking in Oklahoma?

Oklahoma is a delight, isn’t it? From never-ending rolling green hills to stunning blue skies and lush, green woods punctuating the endless plains, Oklahoma is one of those places where you’d probably just kind of expect farms – and you’d be correct, of course. So, which ones are the best ones for, say, going berry picking in Oklahoma? We thought you’d never ask! With dozens of options to pick from, how do you even know where to begin? We happen to be major fans of local crown jewels like Agape House Berry Farm, in Mustang. While in the area, be sure to check out Mustang’s other premiere berry haven, Buffalo Creek Berry Farm. Should you find yourself in or nearby Broken Arrow, check out the Thunderbird Berry Farm, and in Luther, be sure to visit McRay Farms. Always be sure to double-check the farms’ websites when planning a trip – they tend to be open to the public seasonally, so stay aware!

Are there any farms in Oklahoma where you can pick your own berries?

There are plenty – not even including the farms listed above! Some of our favorite places for pick-your-own berries are wonderlands hidden in plain sight; such gems include Endicott Farms, in Mounds, which specializes in blueberries, blackberries, and pecans. There’s also the legend known as N40 Berries, in Stillwater, and Canadian Valley Farms in Lexington is second-to-none in terms of high quality and perfect freshness. We also love the Creekside Berry Farm, in Red Oak, and Wind Drift Orchards in Hannah is pretty much as peaceful and lovely as it sounds on paper. Of course, that being said, you could always try your hand at foraging and gathering berries and fruits from the wild; common species in the Sooner State include golden currant, wild grapes, sand plums, and more!
