Christkindlmarkt is a German-style Christmas market hosted by Cincideutsch and it's absolutely magical. Rich in German heritage and traditional, old-world charm, this delightful Christmas market in Ohio is one of the most unique ways to kick off the holiday season.

In what has become a unique annual tradition, Christkindlmarkt is a one-of-a-kind Christmas celebration that takes place in Cincinnati.

You'll find it right by the ice skating rink, so make a day out of it and embrace every sweet tradition that Ohio has to offer during the holiday season!

The market typically takes place during the first week of November, but you'll want to double-check the Germania Society Calendar for this year's official dates and hours.

Within this beautiful display, you'll find dozens of vendors housed in wonderfully recreated German cottages. It's the perfect place to find that special, homemade gift you just can't find in department stores!

You'll also have the opportunity to sip and enjoy hot chocolate, warm Glühwein (mulled wine), soul-warming traditional German foods, and cold beer, of course!

German Christmas carols ring out over the square, spreading traditional holiday cheer for all to hear. Meanwhile, the crisp scent of cloves, cinnamon, star anise, and citrus fills the air - it definitely smells like Christmas in Ohio!

You might even get to catch a demonstration or two, such as glass-making. It's a great way to learn about this unique part of Ohio's history and maybe even a piece of your own heritage.

You definitely don't want to miss this one-of-a-kind Christmas market in Cincinnati. Travel and Leisure magazine has recognized Christkindlmarkt as one of "America's Best Christmas Markets," and we absolutely agree!
