Did you know there are more than 150 wineries scattered throughout the Buckeye State? Most people don’t. It’s probably one of Ohio’s best kept secrets. Many of these wineries are located right on the vineyard where the grapes are grown. The following are some of our favorite Ohio vineyards that not only feature exceptional wines, but beautiful views as well.

1. Breitenbach Wine Cellars (Dover)
Tucked away in the heart of Ohio Amish Country is a stunning vineyard and restaurant with so much to see. With 40 different varieties of wine and exceptional wood-fired pizzas, you can't pass up a lunch hour here. You'll find it at 5934 Old Rte 39 NW, Dover, OH 44622.
2. Debonne Vineyards (Madison)
Ohio's largest estate winery stretches across more than 175 acres of vines and features live entertainment on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Debonne Vineyards is located at 7840 Doty Road, Madison, OH 44057.
3. Rockside Winery & Vineyards (Lancaster)
With gorgeous views and $1 tastings, this hidden gem is too good to pass up. Rockside Winery features 4.5 acres of Vinifera, French-American Hybrids, and Native American vines. (Pro tip: Thirsty Thursday Happy Hour takes place every Thursday from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.) It's located at 2363 Lancaster-Newark Rd. NE, Lancaster, OH 43130.
4. Valley Vineyards (Morrow)
The Schuchter family has been producing national award-winning wines from vineyards in the Ohio River Valley Appellation since 1970. The vineyard also offers a variety of craft beers. Valley Vineyards is located at 2276 East US 22 & 3, Morrow, Ohio 45152.
5. The Winery At Wolf Creek (Barberton)
As one of the largest vineyards in northern Ohio, the views here are stunning and the atmosphere is peaceful. The isolated location of the winery makes you forget you're in Ohio for a little while. As an added bonus, tasting are just 25 cents. You'll find this beautiful winery at 2637 S Cleveland Massillon Rd., Barberton, OH 44203.
6. Raven’s Glenn Winery (West Lafayette)
This locally owned and operated winery has traditional Italian roots, which just makes the wine (and the food) that much more special. With delicious, award-winning wines, it's not hard to see why they call Raven's Glenn Winery "Ohio's Crown Jewel Of Wineries." And with such a gorgeous setting tucked away along the river, Raven's Glenn Winery is a downright dreamy place to sip on a glass of wine. 7. Vinoklet Winery (Cincinnati)
In addition to award-winning, locally produced wines, this vineyard features fine dining. It's also a popular spot for weddings and other occasions. Vinoklet Winery is located at 11069 Colerain Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45252.
8. Gervasi Vineyard (Canton)
Gervasi Vineyard in Canton is an unbelievably beautiful vineyard, restaurant and overnight getaway. The minute you step onto the grounds, you forget you’re in Ohio. With luxurious villas you can stay overnight in, breathtaking scenery, a premier restaurant and some of Ohio's best wines, Gervasi Vineyard is the perfect place for a romantic weekend away with your sweetheart. 9. Terra Cotta Vineyards (New Concord)
Established in 1995 and officially in business since 1999, this beautiful winery was built from scratch after the owners toured Ohio's wineries and vineyards. Terra Cotta Vineyards is located at 2285 Rix Mills Rd, New Concord, Ohio 43762.
10. M Cellars (Geneva)
Tucked away in Ohio's Grand River Valley region, you'll find homegrown cool climate wines that are simply exceptional. The best part? There are wine clubs you can join, which give you access to even more wine varieties, discounts and other rewards. M Cellars is located at 6193 S River Rd. W, Geneva, OH 44041.
