Embark On An Underground Adventure This Winter At Ohio Caverns, Where The Caves Stay 54-Degrees Year-Round

The deepest cave in the state belongs on every Ohioan’s bucket list. Year-round, a visit to the Ohio Caverns in West Liberty is the perfect way to seize the day, learn something new about our state and have an unforgettable adventure. The temperature is perfect, even during the winter months when snow might be on the ground. Here’s why you’ll want to visit:

You'll find the caverns at 2210 State Route 245 East, West Liberty, OH 43357.

The designated Deepest Point of the caverns is 103 feet (31 m) underground.

You can visit the Ohio Caverns daily from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the winter season (January 1 – April 30 and October 1 – December 31).

It's nearly five feet long, weighing an estimated 400 pounds, and is estimated to be more than 200,000-years-old.

Costs range from $5 to $10, for 3 - 5 pounds of mining rough. During the winter months, an indoor sluice is available.
