Here in Ohio, we definitely have our fair share of unique places to eat. (Check out this list for some great suggestions.) But when you're feeling extra patriotic and proud to be an American, there's one Toledo area restaurant you should check out. The Whitehouse Inn in Whitehouse, Ohio is a delicious, family-owned restaurant with a patriotic flare. It's a truly unique place to eat.

Although the name makes it sound like a swanky overnight getaway, The Whitehouse Inn is a gorgeous restaurant that's unlike any other.

You'll find it at 10835 Waterville S., Whitehouse, OH 43571.

Inside, you'll find elegant decor that pays homage to our country's presidential history. The full bar features a great selection of spirits.

In spite of its sophisticated setting, dining and attire here is casual.

Along the walls, you'll find a large collection of presidential portraits, of course.

American history buffs will especially enjoy the informative displays and decor. Bring the whole family for a an unforgettable lunch or dinner. Or take a night out with a group of friends.

The Whitehouse Inn is open Monday - Thursday from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. and on Friday - Saturday from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. It's also open on Sundays from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.

On the menu, you'll find all the American classics you know and love. (Of course.)

But you'll also find seafood, steakhouse favorites and other unique creations, such as the Bacon Cheeseburger Salad (pictured above.)

In the warmer months, patio dining is also available. Outside, you'll find some lovely gardens to explore before you leave.
