Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland is a hidden gem for out-of-towners and a best kept secret for locals. It’s a farm-themed park where your kids can run, learn, play and even pet some live farm animals. While you can visit this park year-round, it really comes alive in the spring and summer months. Here’s why this special park makes an ideal day trip destination for the whole family:
Welcome to Lake Metroparks Farmpark, where your kids can learn all about agriculture and play at the same—proving that education can be fun.
The Barnyard features alpacas, goats, sheep, cows, pigs and chickens. You might even get to see a demonstration or two, such as cow milking or observing how cheese is made.
The farmpark is open year-round on Tuesday- Sunday from 9 a.m. - 5p.m. There's even a cafe that's open daily where you can grab breakfast, lunch, snacks or coffee.
