Housed in a refurbished school house that was built in the early 1860s during the Civil War, visiting this one-of-a-kind restaurant is like taking a step back in time.

The Camp Dennison School was in operation from 1864 through 1954 and it is rumored to have been the first two-room, two-story school house in the Midwest.

Today, this historic schoolhouse serves exceptional comfort food in a classroom setting. You'll find the menu on the chalkboard in the main dining room.

You can visit The Schoolhouse Restaurant on Thursday - Friday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. You can also visit on Saturday from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.

On the menu, you'll find all the comfort food classics, such as fried chicken, meat loaf and mashed potatoes. Bring your appetite!

Please note: The Schoolhouse Restaurant is closed Monday - Wednesday.

As an added bonus, the delicious, home-cooked food is served family style on a Lazy Susan, so you'll feel right at home here.
