There are a few things that nearly every Cincinnatian can agree upon, and one of them is a mutual love for Graeter's Ice Cream. This Queen City favorite is a local legend and a mandatory stop for anyone who has moved away and returns for a visit. Practically every Cincinnati neighborhood has its own Graeter's, and over the last few months, the shop in Cherry Grove received a facelift and an exciting new addition. It is now home to an ice cream-themed playground in Cincinnati and it is definitely the sweetest place on Earth.
Everyone has a favorite Graeter's location in Cincinnati, and it tends to be the one that is closest to home.
Close is good when it comes to the best ice cream so that you can quickly satisfy those cravings when they hit. Therefore, it's easy to understand why the folks near the Cherry Grove Graeter's were concerned when their neighborhood store closed up. It turns out it was just undergoing renovations, and the wait for it to reopen was worth it.
This Cherry Grove store is now open again and it boasts a few new features that will surely attract ice cream lovers from all over the city.
The spacious interior still offers all of your favorite ice creams, donuts, cakes, and sweet treats, and has plenty of space to enjoy it all there.
However, the sweetest addition to this shop is the Lil' Pints Playroom.
This play area is designed for children age nine and under, and the concept is absolutely brilliant. Parents are thrilled that their little ones can now burn off their sugar-fueled energy right there in the shop.
This new indoor playground offers whimsical slides, a climbing area, and an ice cream-themed design.
Families can enjoy their treats and then head in here for some sweet fun. The play area is open seven days a week, but hours do vary based on the season. If you want to be sure it will be open when you visit, give the store a call to check.
The playground in Graeter’s Cherry Grove location is similar to the one on Bethel Road in Columbus (shown below), which is the only other one of its kind.
Though we would argue Cincinnati’s playground is even better!
