EDITOR’S NOTE – Pickles & Bones is now a storefront carryout destination, located in the same building, behind where the truck used to sit. Pay them a visit for some of the best BBQ in the Cincinnati area! And for more info, follow along with Pickles & Bones on Facebook.
Barbecue is one of those rare types of food that almost everyone seems to love. You may argue over things like whether it’s best with or without sauce, the type of sauce, or how it’s cooked, but it’s difficult to argue that – when cooked correctly – barbecue is one of the best meals out there. Cincinnati has a few local BBQ joints that are in the running for the best in the city, but one is drawing attention not only for its mouthwatering creations, but for its unassuming location. Pickles & Bones Barbecue is some of the best barbecue you’ll find in the area, and it’s served right out of a parking lot in Milford.
Located in the corner of a parking lot along OH-131 in Milford is the family owned and operated Pickles & Bones Barbecue.
Pickles & Bones is run by a couple who took their experience and talents and created their own take on classic barbecue. Their food truck and smokers may be small, but you can begin to smell the mouthwatering meat as soon as you get off 275.

The secret to the perfection of their barbecue is the simplicity.
Using only local Hickory and Maple, each meat is smoked to perfection. If you're looking for a place to start, the brisket and pulled pork are both phenomenal!

Sauce is always served on the side, and you can choose from their signature sorghum, golden mustard, and spicy vinegar varieties.
The mac & cheese and potato salad are both favorites, as are the green beans and hoe cakes. Your sweet tooth will be satisfied by their selection of desserts, which include banana pudding and cobbler.

One thing to be aware of - they do often sell out before closing time.
They are open Tuesday - Saturday from 11am to 7pm, but if you're thinking of picking up a late dinner, you may want to call first to avoid majorly disappointing your tastebuds!
Pickles & Bones is a hidden gem in Milford that is absolutely worth a visit.
They are open rain or shine, so choose any day (except Sunday and Monday, when they're closed), preferably well before closing time, and try one of the best meals in Cincinnati.
If only every parking lot in Cincinnati had food as good as Pickles & Bones! But then again, that’s one of the reasons we love the uniqueness of this place. Have you tried their mouthwatering barbecue? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
