There’s always an adventure to be had exploring Northern California’s beaches. Tucked away on the North Coast, Enderts Beach is especially well-loved for its tidepooling opportunities and rich wildlife. Mostly popular for its tide pools, Enderts Beach is well-worth an adventure! Located in Crescent City, you'll find it by turning off Highway 101 onto Enderts Beach Road and driving to the very end.
There's a parking area at the very end of the road, which is also where you'll find the trailhead for the "Last Chance Section" of the California Coastal Trail. Less than a mile long, this is the trail you'll take to get down to the beach.
Upon reaching the actual beach, you'll likely find yourself in total awe of its beauty! There are no facilities at the beach. Bordered by towering cliffs and covered in rocks and driftwood, the beach is "au naturel" and totally pristine.
If you enjoy searching for tide pools and marine wildlife, you're definitely in the right place. The beach is filled with tide pools that can be viewed at low tide.
Take a close look at the pools and you'll find a myriad of fascinating wildlife living within them. It's amazing to see the thriving habitat hiding within each and every pool. From crabs and starfish to anemones and other alien-like critters, you never know what strange creatures you'll uncover.
