Northern Californians love our ice cream, and almost every city or town has a great dessert parlor to call their own. We compiled a list of some top ice cream joints and organized them into a convenient little road trip for you! Now that the weather is finally getting warmer, there’s nothing that hits the spot like one of these delicious ice cream parlors. Your mouths will be watering just reading about them!

1) CC Diner and Ice Cream, Crescent City
This family owned and operated 50's style diner will take you back in time, just like the perfect chocolate milkshake tends to do! You can find them at 1319 Northcrest Dr. Crescent City.
2) Arcata Scoop, Arcata
Located in a lovely little old house at 1068 I St in Arcata, this ice cream shop offers up everything that's great. We're over the moon about the boysenberry ice cream in a waffle cone, pictured above.
3) I-5 Cafe and Creamery, Orland
This local gathering place for family and friends in Orland is a crowd pleaser, for sure! They have delicious restaurant food, but their ice cream is supreme! They are located at 1165 Hoff Way Orland, California
4) Shubert’s Ice Cream & Candy, Chico

Located at 110 York St in Nevada City, Treats offers up gourmet ice cream and deserts in the cutest little hole in the wall parlor you will ever walk into. They have classic flavors as well as unusual and unique selections. They also offer dairy free options.
7) Aloha Ice Cream and Dessert Spa, South Lake Tahoe
Have you ever been to a "Dessert Spa?" Neither have we, but it sounds delicious and delectable! This place combines the family friendly atmosphere of an ice cream parlor with the culture of a mountain town. Look at that cool bench made out of skis! Their address is 3330 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Full of Mendocino County sophistication and quirkiness, this place has a unique set of flavors that you will be surprised when you try them. This ice cream is actually mushroom flavored! You can find them at 250 N Main St Fort Bragg.
