Northern California is home to some great antique shops, but the largest treasure hunt of them all is a monthly event called the Sacramento Antique Faire. This antique fair occurs only one Sunday a month and it’s a beloved event for antiquing and thrifting enthusiasts. That’s because over 300 vendors come out every time, and you could simply spend all day perusing their one-of-a-kind treasures!

The Sacramento Antique Faire is an outdoor marketplace that is held every second Sunday of the month. Admission to the market is just $3 (free for ages 16 and under) and it takes place at 21st and X Streets, right underneath the freeway.
The sheer size of this unique marketplace is simply overwhelming. All in all, over 300 vendors from both in and out of state set up booths at the antique fair every month, boasting items of all variety. You truly never know what you may find during your visit!
Furniture, clothing, jewelry, garden supplies, books—this monthly market has it all. It's best to attend with an open mind, knowing you'll likely go home with a unique secondhand treasure in hand. However, it's not really about what you find, but the experience in finding it.
Best of all, all vendors are required to sell only antiques and/or collectibles. Collectibles must be at least 20 years or older, and no newly manufactured goods are allowed. This ensures you'll be coming across plenty of one-of-a-kind items.
