If there’s a unique dessert and comfort food that speaks to North Dakotans on a personal level, it’s kuchen. This German treat has had recipes passed down through generations to many residents of the state who fondly remember their grandmothers baking it and still enjoy eating it today. With a variety of types and flavors, it’s hard to say you don’t like it at all when you’re from the Peace Garden State!
