The Sylvan Heights Bird Park is located in the tiny town of Scotland Neck, population about 2,000.
The park, with the guidance of the NC Zoological Society, opened in 2006, and offers a variety of outdoor activities as well as a whole park full of birds to admire.
It's the largest collection of waterfowl species in the world, and supports more than 200 species. The Pink Flamingos are especially cute!
But, you'll find there are MANY adorable birds to love at Sylvan Heights.
The adventure is fun for the entire family. The young — and the young at heart — will simply fawn over the friendly residents.
