Morris Farm Market is a huge roadside farmers market in North Carolina that started with two shady pecan trees in 1982. It was under these trees where Walton and Ginger Morris sold sweet corn from their old Ford pickup. And it seems they had bigger plans. Now you'll still find that scrumptious sweet corn, along with tomatoes, berries, peaches, and everything in between — and those old trees — coming fresh from the several-hundred-acre farm on which the market sits.

There is plenty of parking room at Morris Farm Market, which is open every day.

Once a textile manufacturing company, The Depot at Gibson Mill is now an enormous thrifting destination in North Carolina. Gibson Manufacturing Company was established in 1899 and the factory became Cannon Mills' Plant No. 6 in 1928 with 31,396 spindles used for spinning fibers into colored yarns, fabrics, clothing, and other items. The joy here is the bones of the building — bricks and hardwood are just as inspiring to look at as the inventory. And with more than 600 individual dealers, that is saying a lot.
