For the official state news anchor/reporter in North Carolina, we nominate Renee Chou of WRAL in Raleigh! Not that OnlyInYourState is on the committee to make this important decision, but Chou’s determination to become one of the best anchors/reporters in the country has come to our attention. Beginning as a reporter for the morning news in 2004 working the midnight shift, she worked her way up to the weekend morning and weekend evening anchor positions. In 2014 she was named the weekday morning anchor and added the noon news in 2016. Before moving to The Tar Heel State, Chou was an anchor/reporter for KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri.
