Drink Your Way Through North Carolina On The Margarita Marathon
We can’t think of a more responsible way to bar hop than on foot and what better reason than to check out North Carolina’s Margarita Marathon? No… not the kind of marathon where you’ll need running shoes – it’s a drinking marathon. The next time you’re headed to Bank of America Stadium for a Panthers game (the stadium is only blocks from the marathon route), or into Charlotte for any reason actually, set aside some time to pair some tasty margaritas with some flavorful food! The Margarita Marathon is a walking route that leads to, you guessed it, margaritas. Check it out:
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
What are you waiting for? Margaritas are worth a road trip, right? So plan an overnight with a group of friends and call a ride from your hotel. If you want to track your walking route via Google maps as you make your way through the Margarita Marathon, then here’s a link to the Google map above.
