Outside of Halloween season, in North Carolina, its rare to encounter places that play on the dark side of the universe to brand their business, but that’s just what a craft brewery, Burial Beer, has going – and it’s delightfully dark and macabre. Take a peek below:
The building that houses this unique craft brewery's taproom in Asheville is one that warrants a lot of random people stopping by and getting out of their car just to take a photo. The rusty metal roof and facade are enough, but there's also a barren and abandoned look to the place that draws people in.
Imagine their delight (and yours) when the door hands are cleverly made from old, rusty tools you wouldn't want to encounter on a dark night, alone in a field. Once visitors get past the scythes adorning the entrance, they're greeted with more of the same inside this awesome craft brewery.
Venture over to the bar and discover themed small-batch brew names like Savages of Ruminating Minds, Oblique Passages to Nowhere, and our favorite double IPAs: Inhabited by Ghosts and The Mutilation.
Aside from the extremely enticing decor found at Burial Beer, there's also THE BEER. The artwork on the cans and bottles is enough to put on the shelf and keep around long after the beer is gone... if you're into colorful, dark art.
But visitors love more than just the dark, burial theme of Burial Beer's pourhouse. The beer is what really brings people through the door. Can't decide which one you like best? Order a flight (or two). The one shown here includes a brew called Merciless Disciple. We're not sure who comes up with the names, but we're more than impressed with the creativity here!
We can’t think of a more fun themed craft brewery anywhere else in North Carolina!
