For 43 years, the family-owned Meadow Village Restaurant staff has served folks an incredible buffet of delicious food with as many desserts as main dishes. Folks line up for homemade seafood and country-style cooking. The choices are endless, from spaghetti to baked steak with gravy and fried chicken. But the most delightful part about this endless bounty is the impressive and endless dessert selection. And it isn't fast food, folks. This place takes a time commitment to experience the goodness in every bite. But trust us when we tell you it's well worth that time!
Meadow Village Restaurant started in Newton Grove as The Village in 1980.
It has since moved to Meadow Township in Benson with a new name but is commonly referred to as Meadow Village Restaurant.
Sometimes it's easier to tell how good a restaurant is from the outside, especially when you see a line out the door like this.
But as soon as you walk inside, you will feel right at home with the nice, relaxed atmosphere and seeing there is something here for everyone. Not to mention, a common opinion of guests is it tastes like the food their grandma used to make!
Our favorite Meadow Village Restaurant menu item has to be the crunchiest fried chicken.
And don't forget to load up on the sides. One of the best things about a buffet is there's always plenty of variety.
But truth be told, this is why we really came, and you can order some to take home 24 hours in advance.
Banana pudding anyone? It's said to be some of the best you've had.
This one with the unbelievable meringue topping deserves a closer look.
How delicious do you think this chocolate pudding pie tastes? (Yes, we know some of you we had at "chocolate"!)
Also, keep the Meadow restaurant in mind for catering when you have a fancy occasion. Everyone will surely be impressed.
Another reason to visit Meadow Village Restaurant is the special guests who periodically walk through, as seen in guests' Meadow Village restaurant photos.
Yes, friends, that's right — it's Santa Claus.
As you can see, Meadow Village Restaurant has become famous for many reasons. Try some today, and tell us about your favorite foods in the comments below. And if you're in Benson during the summer months, visit Tucker Lake, a natural swimming hole that will take you back to the good ole days.
