The 2,880-acre Hinckley Reservoir is located in Herkimer County and is managed by the New York State Department of Conservation. This reservoir is in the southwest corner of Adirondack Park near the town of Cold Brook and is only a half an hour from Utica. The Hinckley Reservoir Day Use Area is very popular with locals and has been for many years. However, a change is coming!
