We may still be dealing with the sporadic winter weather, but more and more consistently the majority of our state is starting to see warmer days and that means summer will be here before we know it. The perfect place for family fun and nostalgia, Midway State Park in Bemus Point was originally established as a trolley park 120 years ago!
The ideal vintage amusement park that we wish we could all have in our hometowns, Midway State Park was taken over by the New York State Parks System in 2006 and still continues to be as charming as ever.
Full of rides and attractions for visitors of all ages, Midway State Park is the perfect alternative to the other more busy and expensive amusement parks in the area.

Operating on a track that runs throughout the park, the Midway Train is a fun reminder to all of the area's history with the Jamestown & Lake Erie Railway.
Speaking of local history, the carousel that operates inside of the state park was actually made right in North Tonawanda at the Herschell Carousel Factory!
All while you have a view of Chautauqua Lake, one of the best things about Midway State Park is that the prices for all of the rides and games are so reasonable.
Younger visitors of the park can fly up into the sky in a helicopter or choose to stay low to the ground with a fun game of mini golf.
While older visitors at the park will enjoy feeling young again while they drive laps around each other at the bumper cars or go crazy playing with the vintage arcade games.
