Out of all the different farms that you can find here in the Empire State, New York's magical lavender farms may be our most underrated. With a handful of these aromatic farms situated all over the state, it's during this time of year that you'll begin to see these gorgeous farms come to life with color. We already shared with you how the small village of Red Creek has a lavender farm that hosts an annual lavender festival that's coming up in July - but if you can't wait until then, why don't you try giving another lavender farm a whirl.
The largest lavender farm that you'll have the pleasure of visiting here in New York, Lavender By the Bay has officially opened up for 2019.
Come next month and during July, the farm will start to transform into the ultimate sea of purple hues.
A family owned and operated business that's been providing our residents with the most splendid and aromatic adventure since 2002, this farm only further proves that our small towns have the best attractions.
Growing several different kinds of lavender, the farm is made up of roughly 20-acres.
After paying a small entry fee (that is, if you're over the age of 12), you'll gain access to the farm's never-ending rows of lavender.
Throughout the beautiful sea of purple, you'll find purple chairs that you can take a seat in to further soak in the sights and smells of the farm.
Putting you in the middle of over 80,000 lavender plants, there's no other summer adventure quite like this.
If you're looking to take home a piece of this stunning farm, then we have good news!
Once you're done exploring the actual fields full of lavender...
...You can head inside to the farm's store!
Selling everything from freshly cut bunches of lavender to other lavender-infused goods, you'll want to take home everything in this shop.
If you've never made the trip to Lavender By the Bay, start planning now before the summer passes you by!
