If the idea of spending an entire afternoon eating and enjoying tacos sounds like something you would love, then you’re in luck. Hudson Valley Taco Fest happens in Beacon each year. Although a few years of this festival were skipped due to the pandemic, Taco Fest 5 is just around the corner. In 2022, it will take place in Beacon’s Riverfront Park on June 25th. Fortunately, there is plenty of parking if you drive to the festival; if you choose to take the train, the Metro North - Beacon train station is right next to the festival grounds.
The variety of tacos at Taco Fest is incredible. There will be more vendors at this year's event than ever before. You can try tacos with standard ingredients like chicken, beef, steak, fish, or veggies, or you can get adventurous and try some unconventional options like pork belly, short rib, or lobster tacos.
There will be plenty of vegan and gluten free tacos available, too! Vendors will also offer items like empanadas, tostadas, and fried ice cream if somehow you get tired of tacos along the way.
There are lots of great beverages available at Taco Fest also. Drink some local craft beer or sangria. There will also be Mexican beers on hand.
General admission tickets will get you in the gate but you'll have to buy any food or beverages you want to consume. The Big Taco Deal ticket includes early entry at noon plus five tacos and three drink tickets.
The best ticket option for this festival is a VIP Platinum ticket. VIP ticketholders will be able to enter the festival 90 minutes early and can enjoy UNLIMITED tacos in the VIP tent. They'll also get five drink tickets and five taco tickets to spend at festival vendor booths.
VIP tickets also include free margarita tastings at the VIP tent, and they'll go home with souvenirs - a Taco Fest commemorative glass and other festival swag.
You can visit vendors who sell the items that you'll need to make your own fantastic tacos at home. This hot sauce vendor offers free samples so you can try before you buy.
You can also enjoy live music at this event! As you might guess, the music entertainment is mariachi bands. They provide the perfect soundtrack for Taco Fest.
