Considering the fact that we've officially entered the time of year when we find most of New York pitch black by four in the afternoon, our residents have never needed extra illumination in their lives more. Many of the Empire State's residents have begun to hang up their holiday decorations to add some literal extra light into their lives, while others may choose to seek out what magical festivities await them nearby during this time of year. If you're ready to enjoy a holiday candlelight walk in New York there is an enchanting adventure that awaits you in Central New York. Cooperstown has a brand new holiday event planned for 2023!
Cooperstown always gets festive every holiday season, but this year The Farmers' Museum will be hosting a new annual holiday event.
Candlelight Evening is being retired for an even bigger holiday celebration called Glimmer Lights.
Starting after Thanksgiving, people from all around Central New York and beyond will come out to see The Farmers' Museum like never before.
If you enjoyed taking a NY candlelight walk, you'll really enjoy the new holiday vibe.
One of the region's most loved holiday traditions gets an upgrade with thousands of twinkling lights creating a truly enchanting holiday atmosphere.
Throughout the evening you'll be able to stroll throughout the farm enjoying creative displays.
As you walk around you'll see the historic homes that make up the grounds of the museum lit up with holiday magic.
While inside the buildings, you'll find even more holiday decorations and fun festivities going on as well!
Those who put together this event at The Farmers' Museum are no strangers to December's frigid temperatures, so those attending this candlelight event can also rest assured that there will be bonfires and warm cider served.
Or, simply let the glowing lights warm your heart as you take in the incredible displays.
From the Empire State Carousel to walking through the snow and glimmering village, you'll wish The Farmers' Museum could stay this way all year round.
This is one holiday tradition you'll love experiencing with your friends and family year after year.
If you've never been to The Farmers' Museum for a holiday event, start planning your adventure out there toward the end of November to kick off the holiday season just right.
