After spending spring 2020 cooped up indoors more than usual, you may be itching to spend some time outside now more than ever. If you're ready to ease yourself back into the swing of things, see what it's like to enjoy the outdoors at the city's newest lakeside bike park that's so much more than you could have ever asked for. Check it out!
Tucked between the Buffalo River and Lake Erie, Buffalo's Outer Harbor Lakeside Bike Park is one of our favorite new additions to the Queen City.
Giving you a whole new space to explore and a fun way to discover a different side of Buffalo, the Lakeside Bike Park has been around for roughly a year but still remains a secret to so many in Erie County.
Open to the public each day for free from dawn until dusk, Buffalonians can choose to bring their own bike or make use of the park's mountain bike rentals, which cost $15 an hour or $25 for a half-day rental.
Connecting right to the 3-mile Wellness Trail out along the Outer Harbor, you'll find people biking, rollerblading and skating, jogging, walking, and enjoying so many different things that this park has to offer.
Featuring more than you might expect, the Lakeside Bike Park has its own kiosk, nature habitats, informational signage, events lawn, and even a food truck plaza where you can find local favorites like Nick Charlap's Ice Cream!
So, what have you been waiting for? If you're looking to bring your bike somewhere new or grab yourself a bike rental, then keep an eye out for all that's happening over at Buffalo's Outer Harbor Lakeside Bike Park.
