The view of the Mohonk Mountain House in new Paltz from the Mohonk Preserve is one of the best in New York. Take a trip upstate to this resort, and the views alone will show you why it's one of the most legendary hotels in the state.
There are plenty of other resorts throughout the gorgeous mountains of New York, not to mention great hotels on the beach and in the Finger Lakes region.
