Head to Cimarron and check out the St. James Hotel, where infamous wild western folks like Billy the Kid and Annie Oakley are said to have stayed. There have been 26 murders in the hotel, and as a result, there also be ghosts. The KiMo Theatre in Albuquerque is also famous for being haunted; supposedly, the ghost is identified as six-year-old Bobby Darnell, who died when the boiler in the basement exploded a long, long time ago. He never left, and folks often see him playing in the lobby or playing tricks on employees.

What is the Hotel Parq Central history that makes it so spooky?
Well, that one’s easy – the Hotel Parq Central in Albuquerque straight-up used to be an insane asylum and hospital where plenty of deaths occurred, and those deaths were certainly not always peaceful. Even when it was known as Memorial Hospital, there were creepy goings-on that couldn’t be explained – likely the obvious result of numerous deaths and plenty of suffering on the grounds. A woman’s apparition is often seen staring at guests in the hallways. Patients at Memorial Hospital would have blankets ripped away from them in the middle of the night, and many reported nightmares about the facility long after they had left. To say it’s a bit of a creepy place is an understatement, we think.
