Stay in an 100-year-old, restored log cabin that is located in the Santa Fe National Forest. This quaint cabin is riverfront and has private fishing rights. It comes with amenities such as a full kitchen and wifi (but not TV). More info here.

However, this is definitely a glamping experience – guests use the campground’s restrooms and must provide their own linens.

These historic log cabins are located on an organic goji berry farm, near Taos. This is a great option if you’re looking for a cozy spot to go off-grid. Most of the cabins are heated with wood-fired stoves and come with a kitchenette. Famous folk have stayed here in the past; author Aldous Huxley (who wrote “Brave New World”) used to live in one of these cabins (pictured).
