West Orange is a great town, and there's no better way to see it than during a festival. The best street fair in West Orange, the West Orange Street Fair in downtown, is back this year on June 3rd from 11AM to 5PM. You'll find street vendors, parades, and countless participating local businesses. However, many people might not know about one amazing perk that comes with the arrival of this festival. The Thomas Edison National Historical Park, a federally-recognized museum in the city, is throwing open its doors for free admission for one day only! This amazing museum, filled with artifacts from the life and achievements of one of New Jersey's most famous citizens, is absolutely worth visiting, and now it won't cost you a cent to stand among history.
Downtown West Orange will soon be bustling as the West Orange Street Fair comes to town on June 3rd, 2023.
The streets will be lined with countless vendors offering unique foods and other goods for hungry and curious fair-goers.
But it's not just temporary vendors - keep an eye out for many of West Orange's most beloved businesses to offer special deals and event features.
However, the most exciting part of the event is definitely what's happening at the Thomas Edison National Historical Park, a museum dedicated to the work of NJ's most famous scientist.
Admission to the museum is usually $15 before any special features - but on the day of the street fair, it is completely free!
Inside, you'll be able to tour a recreation of Edison's workshops, with some of his famous inventions.
A library contains historic books, papers, and drawings, many from Edison's day.
Edison played a key role in the development of motion pictures, and you can see how it all began.
Some of Edison's inventions were a little larger in scale - so the museum tour isn't entirely contained inside the building.
