While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! There is so much to love about this local farm. In addition to some of the best hard cider you’ll ever have, Ironbound Farm does so much good in its community…our community. They focus on regenerative farming practices that protect waterways, soil, air, and wildlife. They’ve made it their mission to restore the endangered New Jersey apple. (Popular in the 1700s and 1800s, it was believed to have been extinct until a lone tree was found in Livingston in 1976.) And last, but far from least, they support a diverse workforce that includes veterans, people with special needs, and chronically underemployed groups that deserve a living wage.
