This Just Might Be The Most Beautiful Hike In All Of New Jersey

This weekend is set to be warm, and wonderful for hiking. There are so many great trails in the Garden State that it can be hard to choose one, so I’ve got a suggestion for you. It’s centered around the iconic Appalachian Trail, and a gorgeous journey to take in the spring. You’ll traverse boardwalks, cross a creek, and enjoy mountain views on the way.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

The entire journey spans 7.3 miles and ranges from easy (boardwalk sections) to more difficult (hiking the rocky stairway up Waywayanda mountain). For a map of the trail, click here. For detailed directions and modifications to this hike, visit www.njhiking.com. See their video walk-through below.
