New Hampshire offers some of the best views and outdoor activities in New England. We can all agree on that! But, while we're always grateful for the opportunity to enjoy the landscape here we're not always looking for a serious hike. That's why we love that this gorgeous waterfall can be taken in just by driving into the parking lot.
If you love the idea of exploring New Hampshire's best waterfalls without a ton of effort, make your way to Beaver Brook Falls Wayside just off of Route 145 in Colebrook.
And the best part is that once you've pulled into the parking lot, you're done!
Once you've parked, make your way to the green space where you'll find a few benches and picnic tables right in front of the waterfall. This is perfect for a quick stop. And if you don't want to get out of your car you're in luck, because the view is perfect right from here.
The falls drop an impressive 80 feet, which makes the fact that you don't need to hike to the base to take it in even more impressive. Visits in the spring and the fall are likely to be roaring with the winter snow melt. Make your way there in the winter and the surroundings will be beautiful but more subdued.
If you do choose to get out of the car, you can visit the falls much more closely just by accessing a short trail and crossing a small bridge.
If you get close to the falls, you'll see just how impressive it is that the falls have carved out such a distinct path in the rocks.
We also love that this waterfall can be enjoyed year-round. In fact, it's a total beauty in the winter when it's surrounded by snow.
This trip is worth every mile no matter where you're from and it's a great reminder of just how incredible New Hampshire's natural landscape is.
Beaver Brook Falls is accessible year-round, but during the off-season, it's not always staffed. If you choose to make your trip during an off-season time, be sure to take some extra caution during your visit as conditions can be slippery if you choose to walk to the falls from your car. If you love waterfalls as much as we do, consider dedicating some time to see as many in the state as you can! To help you with that, we've put together a special day for you! The ultimate New Hampshire waterfall road trip is here - and you'll want to do it!
