Muddy Paw in Jefferson is one part dog rescue and one part adventure operator!
Home to 80 sled dogs, Muddy Paw offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy a winter sled dog ride outside while also interacting with these special animals.
While adventure awaits, each tour is intended to be educational offering the chance for guests to learn about both the dogs and the surrounding landscape.
But if the winter is too cold for you, you can even do this in the summer. These no-snow-needed tours use rolling dog sleds that ensure comfort and safety for both visitors and dogs.
Muddy Paw also operates as the NH Sled Dog Rescue, History and Education Center. This nonprofit organization takes in rescue and second-chance sled dogs.
Visitors can learn all about these dogs and the history of New Hampshire’s dog sledding history, which ensures that this important part of the state’s past is preserved.
Not sure you have what it takes? Don’t worry! All you need to have fun here is a love of all things outdoors and an interest in these wonderful living things.
